Diane Lane starred in a little known cult classic film ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, the fabulous Stains’ back in 1981. Although far from being the best film ever made, it does have Lane strutting her stuff as 15 year old Corinne ‘Third Degree’ Burns, a pioneer of punk wear and attitude.
Corinne’s sassy style inspires hordes of female fans to adopt her outrageous look, which is blond ‘skunk’ stripes in her hair, a see-through blouse and the obligatory knickers worn over the top of tights.
Fast forward into the 21st century and the underwear as outerwear look is still being sported by various female pop artists.

Beyonce, in her now legendary ‘Single Girls’ get-up, and most recently Lady Gaga. Will she inspire droves of teenage girls to don their knickers and hit the clubs this party season? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
