In the lingerie world, you know the season is about to change when a new line delicately rises to reveal the spirit of a time soon to come. This year, Mint Siren’s new luxury lingerie collection plays the role of the first snow drop in spring: it’s refreshing and delicate and refined, and marks the rebirth of an entire world, this time a luxurious and seductive one.
The focus of the Mint Siren new range is a bit different than what we are used to see from the English brand. For the new collection, Josefine Wing – owner of the brand – focused on sheer and more organic items, featuring minimalist designs in light colors and natural, fluid lines that depict a sensitive and frail story beautifully portrayed by the wonderful Swiss photographer Emilie Muller (all images here are by her).
Keeping true to our ever changing and evolving ways we have opted to go in a new direction seeking out new materials to work with and finding fresh sources of inspiration. This collection is going to add a little line of suede garments and a line of stretch silk chiffon to our range. We are using a neutral and light colour pallet of cool earth tones, perfect for summer.
The inspiration behind Mint Siren’s SS11 luxury lingerie range is the fabulous 70s and that generation of people who fought to stay in contact with nature. It’s a somber and understated incarnation of a luxury lingerie line that lets the feel of suede towards the skin do most of the talking. For Mint Siren it’s going to be the summer of love.
Or as Josefine puts it
Smooth stretch silk chiffon with subtle cotton lace detailing matched perfectly with the soft surface suede build a collection that we hope will make 2011 the second summer of love. We’ve named the two sets of garments peace and love.
… the summer of peace and love.

the contrast of the silks with the leather is so lovely!
