Hi, My name is Pam & I live in the piney woods of Tyler, Texas. I’m a mother, wife, & a granny. I’ve been making jewelry about 4 years now, & I absolutely love it. I’ve been creative all my life, trying crochet, cross stich, even painting, but I’ve never connected with anything like I have with making jewelry. My inspiration comes from life, culture, nature, and just walking into a bead store! I love everything about it, from going to the bead store, being surrounded by all those gorgeous, shiney beads & finding that perfect bead or stone, to sitting down & creating something that’s a little part of me. I’ve finally found my bliss! I can really get lost in the process & time flys. It’s a wonderful way of sharing myself with others, as well as financing my jewelry habit! ;-)
My shop name came about when I had to stop working for a while d/t some serious health issues, and my boss said, “This would be the perfect time to start selling your jewelry!” So, I named my shop New Life Designs to reflect the change in direction my life has taken. I’m finally following a dream I didn’t know I had.
I continue to learn every day & to take classes, discovering new things to do with beads & wire I didn’t know could be done! I love to do wire wrapping, working with crystals, semi precious stones, pearls, anything to do with making jewelry. My goal is to have fun & create unique jewelry for unique people, (and maybe support myself in my old age!)
I’m very grateful for my husband, my family & my friends for encouraging, supporting,(and not laughing at) me during my earlier efforts. Without them, this would not have been possible.
