Journelle is New York’s pioneer in modern lingerie for the modern woman. They say it, I believe it. Especially since I got the chance to even try some of the fabulous brands they host.
Journelle came into my life at just the right moment. One day, I looked inside my underwear drawer and boy was I terrified. In that moment, I realized I hadn’t bought any new lingerie in quite a long time. I felt like they didn’t even fit anymore. I needed an upgrade, and I needed it fast.
To my relief, I ran into Journelle, a world of exquisite designer lingerie, created for daily use, which is where their name comes from. Journelle is actually the English word for “Lingerie pour chaque jour”, which to me is a pretty convincing invitation to try on their fine elegant pieces.
Some of the most gorgeous brands are on the shelves this season and the best thing about it is that you get nice well-prepared assistants to guide you through the process. “Does this fit me?”, “Does it look good on my skin?”, all these questions are bye bye. Or you can skip the distance and simply buy online.
So what’s good this season?
1. Stella McCartney
I’ve known Stella Mccartney’s work for some time now and it’s among my top choices in sheer, easy-to-love lingerie. They mix delicacy and glamour in a unique way that is simply irresistible to me. These guys know what they are doing and I love their results. Like this underwire bra that has such a cute name, it’s Fiona Popping. Well, for me Fiona Popping is a must buy. Look at the little polka dots. And you know me, I always enjoy a nice retro delight.

2. Mimi Holliday
Mimi Holliday is a brand for flirting, at least that’s what they entice me into. You know how they say the best thing about opera is the final sound of the triangle? With Mimi Holliday, it’s their final little additions that make this brand so irresistible. For example, we have this Mojito bra that combines cute delicacy with such an appealing audacity, and a pretty little pink ribbon right in the middle, for a tint of contrast. And the silk and lace layering, that’s just crazy.

3. Simone Perele
There is something about the French. They have this curiosity in them and they are surprisingly daring, but they don’t let it show up and down the streets, instead they just give you a preview. That’s what Simone Perele is all about. This season, Simone Perele went way beyond limits and created exquisite lingerie for women with no fears. The Pampadour Demi Bra is by far fabulous. As you get closer, you see it’s also intricate and has a gorgeous embroidery.

I like Eberjey because they know all there is to know about the little things that make the big things happen. Moreover, they let you discover the wonders of Eberjey all on your own. This is something I enjoy doing from time to time. The Colette Racer Back Bralet is a fantastic way of doing just that. It’s amazingly soft and it is stretchy, as a racer back bralet is supposed to be. But once it’s on, you discover it is also graceful and delicate. It’s an uncomplicated and superb bra for ladies who like to keep it simple for a while.

5. Marlies Dekkers
You remember this amazing Dutch designer, right? I sure do. It was one of my first encounters with flamboyant lingerie. I remember saying to myself “Boy, I never thought lingerie can be so daring, beautiful and also, fit so well!”. I’ve noticed Marlies Dekkers remains faithful to her creative principles. Her lingerie is still daring, still incredibly alluring and also fits perfectly. For example, the Dame de Paris Balcony Bra is perfect if you’re looking to WOW somebody. And for you, it’s a total pamper. This bra fits perfectly on any body, due to the straps that are manageable. And hot, of course.
To me, the hot season is the perfect season. You have the time of your life, and meanwhile, you get to show the world how hot you are. Fortunately, Journelle is all set up to meet your most personal needs. Sounds like a pretty good scenario to me.
