October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month and individuals and organizations around the world team up to raise funds and plead in different activities to raise awareness about breast cancer, a top cause of death for women worldwide.
Naturally, retailers and quite a few lingerie brands mark the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in their own way. Here are a couple of ‘pink ribbon’ bras that play their own role in making a difference in the lives of women battling breast cancer.
As a company devoted to creating comfortable, stylish, well-fitting lingerie for women of all shapes and sizes (bras go from 30A 40G) Affinitas is pleased to give something back during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The lingerie brand and HerRoom have teamed up to donate 20% of proceeds from the sale of the Samantha Half-Padded Bra in Magenta (retail $28.00) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Affinitas hopes that through sale of this popular bra range, they will be able to make a difference in the lives of brave and heroic women everywhere conquering breast cancer.
During the “Support the Girls” campaign, buy any Wacoal Awareness or Embrace lace
in October and $2 will go to supporting the efforts of Susan G. Komen for the cure. For each $2 donated this way, HerRoom will donate an additional $2.
An additional mention goes to Nipple Charms. They will donate $1 for every order in October to help fight the disease.
Beyond making any purchase, you can also join the fight by participating at an event, donating to a charity of your choice or simply by doing your share in any other way you can.
