The legend says he was inspired to create this brand while he watched Sarah Bernhardt in the role of Napoleon II, wearing a special corset. After seeing that play in Paris he returned to US and launched his first corsets collection. Over the years, the company was moved to UK, where their headquarters are still located, but Gossard products are now internationally known and sold.
