February GPR, an Award and a Prize

by Miss Tique on 7 March 2009 | 104 Comments

With February being the shortest month in the year, I totally forgot about the Guilty Pleasures recognition and now it’s March and will try to overcome the late crown passing with a real prize, or better said with a change of pace.

friends-awardBut first things first. A first round of thanks goes to Nanjo Dogz for the Let’s be Friends Awards. Considering that I currently have no idea how many, if any people still read these pages (partly because my feed burner has been completely @#$%^ up by its moving to google feed burner and stayed a mess ever since) Nanjo’s award is a fantastic surprise. The really cool thing is that we also follow each other on Twitter and I feel like knowing her for years not a couple of months only.

The only thing I don’t like about awards is the rules they come with, because I never know who to offer them further. And I’m now supposed to offer this to 8 other fellow bloggers. I’ll cheat a little and will ask you to pick it up on your own, because I can’t choose.

Now to the February Guilty Pleasure Recognition. I first wanted to share it with 5 artists who also blog. The thing is I daily visit about 50 blogs in the handmade and vintage category and I like all of them from various reasons: the jewelry some of them create is out of this world; the magic in other cute, little items remind me of cherished moments from my past; bath & body scents and products either make me hungry or playful and so on. So, you see, it’s a tough call. Therefore, I’m only going to dedicate the February GPR to handmade artists – L’elephant Rose, Lazy Breeze, Nanjo Dogz, Yellow Goat, Jen’s Closet, Dog Gone Girl, Twiddle Sticks, Muyin Jewelry, Lenox Knits, Kalicat, Triz, Shiny Adornments, Thyme2Dream ….. and everybody else not mentioned here due to memory losses and personal need for some lecitin.

In fact, you know what? The February GPR is a recognition of all handmade artists and their work.

villainess-soap-prizeAs for the prize, go to villainess, pick your favorite and tell me about it in a comment. Be quick! I’m keeping this giveaway open only for the next 3 days, until the 10th of March, at midnight. Afterwards, I’ll draw the winner through random.org

Good luck and may the best villainess win!
