I started making jewelry when I was 10, using layers and layers of color construction paper cut into shapes of graduated sizes, glued in a stack, then sanded smooth when dry. I would cover with shellac and then mount on a ring blank.

I got into bead weaving and bead looms in the late 80’s and still have a few of the things I made. I also got into making beaded earrings, sometimes recycling stones and beads from broken necklaces that I found at yard sales.

I love Swarovski crystals, and Crystazzi crystals and pearls, along wtih lampwork beads, and Czech beads. I’ve learned quite a few new techniques and I am always looking for more ideas to experiment with.

I try to make affordable pieces, using mostly silverplate and goldplate findings, and the occasional brass. I would love to make more with gunmetal, but I am having a very difficult time finding supplies made with it.

Why don’t you check the rest for yourself? Designs By RuKar at your feet.
