Chairs For the Ladies and Men Alike

First produced in 1961 by Danish Designer Poul Volther, the Corona chair was originally crafted from solid oak. After experimentation with various materials, the ‘EJ 605′ was released a year later, which closely resembled its predecessor but was crafted of steel. A true original, the Corona chair was completely unique in design, using (seemingly suspended) concentric shapes to make up its form, yet sacrificing nothing in the way of function and comfort.

The Corona can be upholstered in fabric or leather. It also comes with a complementary footstool and occasional table. The table tops come in a variety of veneers, Beech, Rock Maple, Cherry or Sapele. A combination of different colours can be specified for the seat and the backrest.

Inspired by the works of Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen is considered one of the most influential furniture designers of the last century. His Egg Chair, designed in 1956 is perhaps the single-most recognizable icon of 20th century interior design. True to the original, this quality reproduction has a molded fiberglass frame. Improvements include a fire retardent polyurethane foam with high quality crepe pure wool upholstery from Denmark.
