Carine Gilson is one of the very few designers that consider lingerie as uberwear. The finest Lyon silk, the airiest Chantilly lace, the cheeky range of colours, the most generous cuts, the hand-crafted haute couture; nothing is too much, nor too good.
Trimmings, bras, panties, slips, negligees; each item is unique. Produced in natural silk, a precious, translucent material – lingerie is fluid and elegant whenever it’s worn. Seduction is an art. So these few grams are lovingly hand stitched by ultra-qualified seamstresses in Carine’s Brussels shop. The tiny irregularities in shade or finishing are precious details that attest their authenticity.
Carine’s aim is achieving perfection in lingerie design. A graduate of Fine Arts, she was only 23 when she bought a small sewing workshop that enabled her to launch the first Carine Gilson Lingerie Couture Collection back in 1994. Now, her lingerie collections are available in Paris, New York, Beverly Hills, London and Tokyo.
