Axfords is a unique company, which mixes Victorian traditions with modern technology to supply corsets worldwide, both retail and wholesale. Axfords has been providing crafts & quality in the world of corsets since 1880.
A privately owned family business , Axfords moved to the current factory in the centre of Brighton (on England‘s south coast) 45 years ago. It is run by Michael Hammond who took over as owner from his mother 20 years ago.
“We pride ourselves on the quality of our garments, our high standard of customer care and the speed of our delivery. All corsets are made in our factory, and (unlike most modern garments, whose parts are made by different machinists, sewn together at the end), each corset is made from start to finish by one of our highly skilled corsetieres.”
While browsing around the website, I discovered and enjoyed the films on Axfords. While you’re there watching, I’ll try to get some inside information or maybe an interview, so if you have questions you may want to ask Michael Hammond, drop them here.
