I’ve always been passionate about the Middle East. I find it very intriguing.
Of all, Iran is quite special. Iranian culture is so open and has a certain elasticity that seems to sustain the longevity of its incredible values.
What does this have to do with lingerie? Only two words: Layla L’obatti. Layla L’obatti is not only a notable lingerie designer (she is the designer behind Between the Sheets Lingerie), but also manages to incorporate more than one type of inspiration. She is half-Persian half-American, which totally resonated with my passion for Iran.
Her latest collection, Arabesque, is an expression of Layla’s dual cultural backgrounds. She mixes eastern and western influences into designs that reveal her Persian origins.
Here it is, my first argument why I was blown away by this collection. I love caftans, I really do. This Middle Eastern garment makes you feel like a real Persian beauty. This is an open shoulder caftan, which is quite innovative for a garment of this type. The cotton silk and a drop of lace is all I needed to see to love it even more. Microfiber bralette and bikini are the pearl inside this beautiful shell.
This piece brings a certain Persian breeze. Bralette and open back tap pant are made of cotton silk and lace. The Persian-inspired print inserts a touch of mystery and oriental sophistication. Black bands add the contrast, which I am very fond of. A satin and lace robe was created to raise the suspense, and boy it works perfectly!
What about bodysuits? If this type of garment appeals to you, you should know that Layla L’obatti created a mono-colored satin and lace bodysuit that makes your breasts look unbelievably sexy. What about a playsuit? Here is Layla L’obatti’s offer: a satin and lace playsuit, with sophisticated embroidery in the cleavage area.
I love this piece. It brings a note of naughtiness, which always gets me. The V-neckline of this satin and lace bralette will bring out the playful in you. The stretch velvet garter looks like a must-have for every hot date. You know I’m right!
These gown and robe make me think of Persian palaces, with intricate drapes and detailed embroideries. A real treat for hot summer nights.
And if you want to hide a bulge or two, how about this slipdress made of satin that can shape your body in no time? Velvet details are always sexy. If you don’t need the garters, just take them off. This piece makes your body look unbelievable. Believe me!
Arabesque by Layla L’obatti is intriguing and versatile. One of this year’s revelations!
