The things we enjoy in life, fashion hints and lifestyle tips, the whole bazaar of human pleasures, seen as more or less guilty – they all find their home under one roof that we call guilty pleasures.
Guilty Pleasures website is, specifically, about the little things we have or covet for our lingerie drawer. It’s about you & I, in love with the world of beautiful and coquettish underwear.
Story and Team
Guilty Pleasures started as a one girl show in the first semester of 2008.
Miss Tique was awfully tired of her daily monotony and opened a blog to rant about life’s most graceful moments. As she had always loved fancy cuisine, lingerie, garments, travels and books – a variety of topics to share were at hand. After playing with all, she started to focus on her first and biggest love: lingerie. A name was still missing. Until one day.
During a trip abroad, in a country far, far away, while shopping for souvenirs with her friend in a local shop, Miss Tique got hypnotized by the intricate model of a delicately hand crafted ring. The seller (an old, wrinkled, serene, witty man) told the girls how long and how hard an artist has to work to create just one fine piece. For each perfect piece contains the soul of its craftster. “It’s only for a guilty pleasure to grow into a jewel” he said. Miss Tique paid for a ring and received a beautiful jewel and a brilliant name for her website to be. The rest is history.
Ever since the beginning of 2009, Guilty Pleasures has been covered by Miss Tique and her friend Miss Ive (aka Ally the workaholic gerbil). While Miss Tique does the writing, Miss Ive deals with the administrative requirements and necessities.
As of mid August 2009, Miss Tique is no longer alone in her writing endeavors. The team has been enriched with wonderful lingerie designers, who are going to offer you an inspirational, artistic approach towards the whole lingerie conceptual meaning. Please welcome
Gaby … the creative mind and designer of Hopeless Lingerie and Hopelessly Devoted Accessories.
Short Bio. “I have been sewing since I was very small, and have always known I wanted to do something creative with my life. I studied Art History, Film and Architecture at Monash University, before completing a Diploma in Fashion. Now I spend most of my days sewing and designing with the help of my sister Dominique, who does most of the running around and keeping the paperwork in order.”
You can also find Gaby and Hopeless Lingerie on Twitter, Facebook & MySpace.

Jennifer …the Lady behind the business and designs of Under The Root.
Short bio. “While studying Dance at Columbia College Chicago, I realized that costumes played an intricate role for the performances. The availability in movement and projection of each design was tantamount for dancers, performers and individuals alike. I am drawn to structure pieces within the lingerie arena because there are needs to be met which reflect the use of materials and the grace of the human body. The articles submitted within Guilty Pleasures are meant to approach our lightness of being and the creations which reach out to us from peoples around the world.”

Nichola … the talented designer of Knickerocker, a store with fabulous panties in a variety of styles, shapes and sizes.
Short bio. ” I’ve always sewn, my grandmother taught me when I was a young girl and its just been part of my life ever since. Having studied Fine Art, I never considered sewing a vocation until moving to the States where I just fell into it when I got work as a seamstress for an accessory designer. Knickerocker began about a year ago when I pulled apart an old pair of knickers to get a basic pattern and made myself a pair of undies. I haven’t looked back since. I have never been a fan of flesh coloured underwear and t-shirt bra’s, so with Knickerocker I want to try and stir things up with a bit of fun and frivolity. “
