Guilty Pleasures

A Pompous Armchair

By User ImageMiss Tique • Apr 6th, 2008 • Category: Bazaar

Project name: “My pompous fat armchair”
Client: The Röhss Museum of Design and Aplied Art
Object: recliner seat
Size: large
Stage: exhibited at the Röhss Museum in 2006
Team: Fredrik Kjellgren

Now what is it all about? A merge of beauty and the beast, of old and new, of great architecture of thought. As the author states: “I found the reclining easy chair a piece of furniture that I despised to look at but found very comfortable to sit in.”

  1. Holy crap! If that were a real chair I would pay anything up to £600 of my own money for it.
